Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead optical engine technical transitions through formal release states (DEV to PROD), including validation of test plans and correlation between lab results and factory floor.
  • •Monitor and improve production yield using guard band methods to ensure field reliability while maximizing manufacturing yield.
  • •Lead failure analysis for wafer and module-level failures, investigating root causes across modulators, TIA, drivers, and waveguides.
  • •Drive alternative test solution projects to reduce test lead times, improve capacity, and optimize testing for faster supply chain velocity.
  • •Develop automated data pipelines and performance plots to monitor production health and identify population drift, partnering with manufacturing and hardware/ASIC/firmware teams to resolve performance corner cases.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Optical Physics, Physics, or Semiconductor Manufacturing.
  • •5+ years of experience in semiconductor, optical, or high-speed hardware product engineering.
  • •Solid experience with 400G/800G/1.6T client optical engines/modules, including PAM4 DSP, modulators, and high-speed drivers/TIA.
  • •Familiarity with 400G/800G/1.6T client optical module specifications and test requirements.
  • •Strong problem-solving, statistical data analysis, and cross-functional leadership to drive solutions.
