Job Summary

Oversee daily shop operations, including technician scheduling and effectiveness, equipment repair procedures, and fleet condition. Implement and maintain preventative maintenance scheduling using a visual board and CMMS, manage work order processes for tracking repairs, and ensure repair and inspection effectiveness (including VCR/VIR). Maintain shop cleanliness, compliance with DOT, MSHA, and OSHA requirements, and coordinate with vendors and sourcing input to reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee daily shop activities, including technician scheduling and effectiveness.
•Implement and manage preventative maintenance scheduling using a visual board and CMMS.
•Define, implement, and manage work order processes to track equipment repairs and ensure repair process effectiveness.
•Maintain compliance with DOT laws and annual DOT inspections, and ensure MSHA/OSHA compliance.
•Oversee shop cleanliness and inspections, track/reduce reactive repairs, and coordinate with local vendors and sourcing teams.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required and two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
•Experience working with electronic equipment management systems.
•Background in heavy equipment and on-highway trucks.
•Experience in a building materials/construction industry.
•Must be able to maintain a valid driver’s license and pass required checks (drug screen, motor vehicle records check, criminal background check).
