Key Responsibilities

•Implement the duties of the health and safety position which could include onboarding & training, reporting, incident investigation, and coordinating Threat and Hazard Impact Risk Assessments (T/HIRA).
•Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and guidance on health and safety matters across the program.
•Work with the contractor to confirm that the site-specific safety plan measures are effectively implemented.
•Undertake periodic assessments / audits and identify opportunities for improvement with corrective actions.
•Provide management level reporting and identify key risks and issues for escalation to the appropriate decision makers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 95,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BA/BS + 4 years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
•Typically 7 years of professional experience in on-site health and safety (inspection, coordinator, onboarding/training, and/or reporting)
•Experience in construction environments, major infrastructure/aviation program experience is an asset
•Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing effective health and safety management plans
•Diploma/certificate in health and safety and/or equivalent training experience
