Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure a safe work environment by following safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations and using required PPE
  • •Assist construction/paving/plant crews with labor tasks such as shoveling, raking, spreading materials, and running a wheelbarrow
  • •Signal operators and help facilitate alignment and movement of materials on site
  • •Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment used in road, site, or highway construction and paving
  • •Maintain traffic controls and direct movement of traffic using sign, hand, and flag signals; record traffic control violators when required
