Job Summary

Perform mechanical installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement in a heavy-industry plant. Handle mechanical breakdowns and preventive/predictive maintenance, follow EHS and plant operating procedures, and use SAP to order spare parts and maintain maintenance records. Execute welding and fabrication work, troubleshoot recurring issues, complete PM inspections/checklists, and mentor newly joined mechanics.

Key Responsibilities

•Tackle mechanical equipment breakdowns and planned/preventive/predictive maintenance with minimal supervision to minimize production downtime.
•Assess assigned job requirements, select necessary tools/equipment, and ensure work is completed according to safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
•Use SAP to order spare parts from the warehouse and maintain records of maintenance work completed.
•Initiate repairs, replacements, tests, and re-assembly of worn or failed components/parts; identify and report abnormalities.
•Perform welding and fabrication work, run PM inspections and daily checklists, mentor newly joined mechanics, and support EHS/plant improvement activities.

Key Requirements

•Diploma in a relevant field.
•Completion of PEC Craft Training.
•3+ years of relevant experience in a heavy industry after Diploma.
•Good working knowledge of maintenance tools and computer skills.
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, manuals, and instructions.
