Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute plant and equipment maintenance preparations and maintenance tasks following SMP and planned schedules.
  • •Remove and replace worn plates and ensure work is executed per Operating Model standards and procedures.
  • •Perform pre-shift inspections of vehicles, equipment, machines, and components to check functionality, safety, and prevent injuries/damage.
  • •Continuously observe and monitor equipment/vehicle performance, identify non-conformances or deviations, and report to the direct supervisor.
  • •Assist artisans and maintenance work (e.g., changing grease bulkers, diesel nozzles, pipes) and ensure proper shift handover of outstanding tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •Follow health and safety requirements to ensure a safe work environment in maintenance operations.
  • •Grade 12 /N3 Technical and technical knowledge applicable to maintenance environments.
  • •Understand vehicle/equipment components, functionality, and manufacturer standards in a maintenance setting.
  • •Ability to interpret and understand detailed component drawings, blueprints, and shop manuals.
  • •SA Driver’s Licence.
