Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow Health, Safety, and Environment (SHE) standards, comply with legislation and work instructions, and participate in safety meetings and safety protocols.
  • •Apply SLAM/HIRA/Mini HIRA correctly and identify hazards, safety deviations, and safety/health issues; close out safety actions where required.
  • •Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment, record inspection outcomes, and report deviations to the Foreman and Operations Controller.
  • •Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently for construction/maintenance tasks, ensuring work areas are safe and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • •Identify and report maintenance problems, communicate issues/risks during shifts and handovers, assist team members, and perform cleaning activities beyond the allocated area.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12/N3 Technical qualification.
  • •Relevant HME licences and applicable certifications (e.g., Kumba Dover Certificate, Fitness Certificate).
  • •SA Drivers Licence.
  • •Entry-level role requiring practical experience through internships or relevant work.
  • •Knowledge of safety standards, company policies/procedures, and mine traffic regulations.
