Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive battery pack development from concept to production, meeting performance requirements, cost targets, reliability issue resolution, and design-for-manufacturing support.
  • •Act as the main interface between the Core Battery Group and internal product teams throughout the program lifecycle.
  • •Translate user stories and CONOPs into actionable ESS requirements with program teams.
  • •Lead battery cell selection using accelerated de-risking and validation processes.
  • •Support manufacturing ramp and validation by working with manufacturing engineering and enabling hands-on battery bring-up, testing, debug, and vehicle integration.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or fundamental Physical Sciences with an applied focus on energy storage technologies, plus 3+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting energy storage systems.
  • •Past ownership of battery pack design and prototype assembly.
  • •Experience delivering robust, high-performance energy storage systems with substantial technical ownership from prototype to production.
  • •Knowledge of at least one: battery management system (BMS) electrical design, BMS algorithms/software functionality, or BMS validation against operational requirements.
  • •Awareness of battery safety standards such as UN38.3 and NAVSEA S9310 (or equivalent like UL/IEC).
