Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections and complete follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Use test instruments and road testing to identify defective equipment and determine accurate, relevant troubleshooting actions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation and communications for approvals.
  • •Document work on Repair Orders and DOT forms, upload photos and findings via the TRAIT application/iOS device, and ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or equivalent combination such as additional certification/degree or 5 years experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply the required set of hand tools.
  • •Ability to pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; maintain a current valid DOT medical card.
  • •Current and valid DOT-regulated certifications/requirements: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609 (or obtained within 18 months).
