Key Responsibilities

  • •Accept, reject, or modify new commercial lines business within delegated authority to ensure profitability, pricing according to guidelines and meeting timeline standards.
  • •Evaluate complex risk exposures by underwriting new business, reviewing applications, selecting business to quote, and rejecting unacceptable business; review MVRs, financial reports, and loss control reports.
  • •Gather competitive data, prepare reports, and perform loss control inspections.
  • •Conduct routine field inspections of accounts (with and without agents), make recommendations, and assess and communicate future agency potential.
  • •Maintain a frequent visitation schedule with assigned agents, serve as a top underwriting resource, and provide professional development knowledge to team members.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3 years of multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience with authority.
