Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers working on distributed microservices and full-stack systems to deliver solutions for regulatory needs.
  • •Collaborate with digital product managers to build robust cloud-based solutions that improve customer experiences for millions of Americans.
  • •Stay current on technology trends and experiment with emerging tools and platforms in internal and external engineering communities.
  • •Mentor other members of the engineering community; occasionally code or evaluate code as needed.
  • •Utilize cloud, containers, APIs, and observability to identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering).
  • •At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or virtualization technologies.
  • •Experience coding with more than two of the following: Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala.
  • •Experience contributing to open source frameworks.
