Key Responsibilities

  • •Define comprehensive, testable system requirements with product managers, designers, and developers for new hardware products from product-level to component-level.
  • •Establish system and sub-system level architecture/design review processes and component selection criteria to guarantee overall performance and product integrity.
  • •Define and implement cross-functional system behaviors and telemetry to optimize lifetime performance, health, and field diagnostics.
  • •Perform bring-up and performance verification during new product introductions and act as the first responder for early system failures and cross-functional triage.
  • •Analyze flight telemetry and field analytics to conduct risk assessments, inform prognostic/condition-based maintenance protocols, and implement future mitigations while building test infrastructure and maturity/risk tracking processes.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years hands-on experience defining, designing, analyzing, testing, modeling, and delivering highly reliable electro-mechanical systems in rapid development environments.
  • •Systems-engineering problem-solving across mechanical, electrical, and software domains, including identifying critical paths and deep-diving when needed.
  • •Experience designing and executing system bring-up and performance verification, including mechatronic prototyping/fixture development.
  • •Knowledge of design-for-reliability, physics of failure, and integration risks for electronics subsystems such as PCBAs, motors, batteries, cameras, compute modules, and sensors.
  • •Proficiency in Python and SQL for dataset analysis to support specification definition, risk assessments, reliability analysis, and automation scripts.
