Job Summary

Build and scale observability and resilience capabilities for Cox Automotive by creating spec-driven operational standards, integrating and extending enterprise monitoring toolchains, and using AI to develop automated, agentic detection and response. Partner with engineering teams to champion modern monitoring practices, ensure key assets are fully observable, and reduce time to notice and resolve incidents. Contribute through production ownership, experimentation, and continuous improvement of incident workflows at scale.

•Deliver new observability and resilience capabilities using AI to develop agentic flows and new ways to adopt the enterprise toolset.
•Champion new tools and methods across the organization and establish spec-driven standards for operations and observability.
•Ensure key assets are fully observable by building, curating, and governing effective observability patterns and incident workflows.
•Develop and own relationships with engineering teams to drive adoption and align observability practices with software delivery.
•Build automated responses to common issues, experiment with observability approaches, and reduce time to notice and time between recognition and resolution.

Salary: USD 92,300 - 153,900 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience, or an equivalent combination such as a master’s with 2 years, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year, or 16 years of related experience.
•Focus on cloud observability and resilience using CloudWatch, New Relic, and ServiceNow ITOM.
•Professional experience implementing observability and resilience practices in AWS.
•Hands-on experience with enterprise observability tooling including CloudWatch, New Relic, SolarWinds, Splunk, PagerDuty, and ServiceNow ITOM as a builder and integrator.
•Experience writing synthetic tests in Python, Ruby, or JavaScript using Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium.
