Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned rocket parts and assemblies, solving emergent supplier challenges and mitigating manifest risk.
  • •Own new product introduction for new assemblies, including manufacturing method selection, supplier identification, and ramping to rate.
  • •Conduct DFM reviews early to ensure parts are manufacturable prior to sourcing.
  • •Create and flow down specifications to the supply base for quality and manufacturing requirements.
  • •Review and resolve issues on assigned parts by driving root-cause corrective actions and closures, including containments and issue ticket disposition as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products in a production environment.
  • •Fundamental understanding of propulsion/fluid system component manufacturing processes (e.g., draw forming, extrusions, welded or seamless tubing, cutting, and assembly).
  • •Fundamental understanding of sheet metal forming and cutting/assembly processes (e.g., stretch forming, stamping, spin/roll forming, hydroforming, tube forming/bending).
  • •Ability to solve problems using disciplined root-cause methods (e.g., 8D) and drive changes through to closure with suppliers and engineering counterparts.
