Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate robotic welders and the tangent bender per SOP/VOP to ensure quality products are received by customers.
  • •Weld metal joints and intersections of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel; weld racks, blocks, and miscellaneous items as needed.
  • •Start up, change over, and shut down robot weld and tangent bender operations; teach robot when tank-size changes dictate.
  • •Visually inspect torch and wire feeder, clean wire feed at shift start, and review/replace PPE as needed.
  • •Operate welding equipment, adjust as needed to maintain weld quality, meet daily production goals, perform touch-up welds, and train new operators when necessary.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Welding Diploma from an accredited one-year program with evidence of welding in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions on structured steel and pipe.
  • •Legal authorization to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.
  • •Reside within 50 miles of Greenwood, South Carolina (no relocation provided).
  • •Demonstrated foundation in blueprint reading and sketching and ability to meet weld quality standards through practical weld tests.
