Key Responsibilities

  • •Master and own the POD device—embed with the DEKA engineering team to reach engineering-grade competence, then run POD routinely independently.
  • •Perform direct POD perfusion/assessment runs in preclinical and partner-lab settings, owning run setup, troubleshooting, integrity, and deviation records.
  • •Build and own the operator-qualification/training package, training and certifying external perfusionists, technicians, and clinical staff and proctoring early cases.
  • •Enable clinical-trial sites by supporting site activation, protocol execution, at-source clean data capture, and site-to-site standardization.
  • •Support regulatory/data standards such as DSMB and clinical-events documentation, maintaining the “claim firewall” language for deviations vs suitability.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •RN with deep transplant experience (transplant/organ-donation coordinator; CCTC a plus) or a clinical perfusionist/organ-preservation specialist.
  • •Hands-on experience with ex-vivo organ perfusion devices (EVLP, kidney/liver assist, organ transport, or similar), including operating, troubleshooting, and teaching complex hardware.
  • •Medical-device field experience, including prior Clinical/Field Specialist or Thought-Leader-Liaison work supporting FDA device studies.
  • •Ability to become the authority on a novel perfusion device; ex-vivo perfusion device or MCS/ECMO experience is a plus.
  • •Field-ready with disciplined documentation and calm judgment during time-critical runs.
