Job Summary

Provide on-call field support for multiple archaeological surveys in Reno, Nevada, assisting with the collection, identification, and documentation of artifacts and spatial/observational data. Key Responsibilities

•Under general supervision, assist with collecting, identifying, and compiling artifacts and archaeological/spatial/observational data from field sites.
•Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate measurement and documentation.
•Assist with basic professional archaeological work related to cultural resources and preservation/environmental support.
•Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and field/work site notebooks.
•Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures, including sample collection, location data, documentation, and logbooks.

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology or closely related field, plus archaeological field school or similar field experience.
•3+ years of experience in archaeology or anthropology.
•Physically able to conduct fieldwork in all weather conditions and follow instructions.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills for scientific and non-scientific audiences.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including adherence to workplace safety and company health/safety and conduct policies.
