Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise field teams during archaeological fieldwork and coordinate field activities on-site
  • •Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and AECOM procedures, including Covid-19 measures
  • •Provide clear and accurate communication of field discoveries, strategies, and staff issues between field and office teams
  • •Maintain accurate field notes and data records, and manage on-site performance and behavior expectations
  • •Collaborate with Indigenous communities and other stakeholders to ensure respectful, culturally sensitive fieldwork and timely reporting

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma/Certificate + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • •Valid Applied Research (R) or Professional (P) class license issued by the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism (MCM)
  • •Valid Driver's License
  • •1+ field seasons independently supervising teams during Stage 2–4 archaeological assessments under own issued Research License required.
  • •Ability to perform strenuous archaeological fieldwork in all weather conditions, including lifting 40 lbs and being capable of repetitive movement
