Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children, and youth of service members, including assessment, brief counseling, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
  • •Support CYB settings by providing parent training and guidance and focusing on staff/personnel at CDCs, DoDEA/community schools, youth programs, and summer camps.
  • •Deliver training and health/wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily via smartphone or web application, ensuring accurate reporting while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity.
  • •Work with installation and military POCs to ensure services are within scope, respond to emergent situations, and manage duty to warn and restricted reporting per DoD protocol.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold an independent clinical license in a state (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) and be an independently licensed behavioral health clinician.
  • •Master’s degree in a mental health related field or social work from an accredited graduate program.
  • •Prove US Citizenship and must be fluent in English.
  • •Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.
  • •For CYB roles: meet Magellan MFLC CYB criteria for experience with children and youth and child/adolescent development/psychology.
