Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply asphalt on highways, private roadways, parking lots, and driveways using screed controls.
  • •Operate the asphalt paver and adjust for proper depth, grade, and finish cross section using screed extensions.
  • •Control and operate the distributor machine as part of the paving process.
  • •Support other crew roles as instructed by the crew foreman, including adding/removing screed extensions as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Operate an asphalt paver and make normal adjustments to achieve proper depth, grade, and asphalt finish using screed extensions.
  • •Work with other crew members to apply asphalt per plan specifications and complete tasks assigned by the crew foreman to meet daily schedules/estimates.
  • •Be able to use required hand tools and operate equipment for extended shifts (normal shift 8-12 hours), including under temperature extremes.
  • •Hold a Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement (successful candidate must also pass a drug test and criminal background check).
  • •Maintain required PPE, follow attendance policy, and be flexible with overtime and possible out-of-town/county/state work.
