Job Summary

Operate asphalt paving equipment using screed controls to apply asphalt on highways, private roadways, parking lots, and driveways. Key Responsibilities

•Apply asphalt on highways, private roadways, parking lots, and driveways using screed controls.
•Operate the asphalt paver and adjust for proper depth, grade, and finish cross section using screed extensions.
•Control and operate the distributor machine as part of the paving process.
•Support other crew roles as instructed by the crew foreman, including adding/removing screed extensions as needed.
•Handle periodic truck use and transportation of water, fuel, and/or bituminous emulsions while adhering to PPE and attendance requirements.

Key Requirements

•Operate an asphalt paver and make normal adjustments to achieve proper depth, grade, and asphalt finish using screed extensions.
•Work with other crew members to apply asphalt per plan specifications and complete tasks assigned by the crew foreman to meet daily schedules/estimates.
•Be able to use required hand tools and operate equipment for extended shifts (normal shift 8-12 hours), including under temperature extremes.
•Hold a Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement (successful candidate must also pass a drug test and criminal background check).
•Maintain required PPE, follow attendance policy, and be flexible with overtime and possible out-of-town/county/state work.
