Job Summary

Support Rio Tinto Legal’s Disputes team across Australia and the Pacific by preparing and organizing dispute documentation, correspondence, pleadings, and case files. Assist with discovery, disclosure, subpoenas, regulatory notices, and legal holds. Coordinate governance and dispute reporting, liaise with external counsel and stakeholders, and conduct factual and legal research. Based in Brisbane or Perth within a global disputes practice.

Key Responsibilities

•Support management of disputes, litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters by preparing and organizing legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, witness materials, and case files while maintaining accurate records.
•Coordinate document preservation, identification, collection, review, and production for discovery, disclosure, subpoenas, regulatory notices, including legal holds and document review workflows.
•Coordinate dispute reporting and legal governance activities, including matter status updates, board papers, risk reporting, legal metrics, and compliance reporting.
•Liaise with external counsel, service providers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate instructions, coordinate information requests, monitor progress, and support legal spend and budget management.
•Undertake legal and factual research, prepare summaries, coordinate meetings and case materials, and track actions to provide administrative support for efficient case management.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
