Key Responsibilities

  • •Support regulatory reporting on US GAAP, US Statutory, Bermuda Statutory, and Bermuda Economic balance sheet bases for multiple reinsurers and execute related control processes
  • •Perform monthly and quarterly closing procedures, including tracking information availability, reviewing variances, producing control/flash reports, and preparing reconciliations
  • •Investigate unanticipated variances and provide timely feedback to source areas to resolve issues within close timeframes
  • •Conduct analytical review of performance, including flux and actual-to-expected analyses and identification of key drivers
  • •Support planning and compilation of quarterly and annual financial reports, footnotes, and supporting documentation

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; working toward CPA/CA (or comparable) preferred
  • •5+ years of relevant experience, with recent life insurance experience with reinsurance exposure preferred
  • •Knowledge of US GAAP or US Statutory accounting; knowledge of Bermuda Statutory and Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet a plus
  • •Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • •Proven experience delivering audit requests and building/performing controls; ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
