Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide support and leadership for geochemical projects covering permitting, baseline studies, operational support, closure support, and reclamation/remediation.
  • •Develop proposals, schedules, and budgets for geochemical/hydrogeochemical investigations and characterization studies across groundwater, surface water, wastes, and geological materials.
  • •Build conceptual and numerical models to describe fate and transport of constituents, including developing, calibrating, validating, and documenting results.
  • •Design, plan, and oversee laboratory and field programs supporting project execution, including geochemical dataset management, validation, analysis, and interpretation.
  • •Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff; support client relationships; and promote a Safety-First approach while delivering high-quality reports on time and within budget.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field, with strong quantitative background in aqueous geochemistry (graduate degree preferred).
  • •Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in geochemistry, consulting, or an adjacent field.
  • •Understanding of hydrology, hydrogeology, and surface water/groundwater interactions.
  • •Experience with data management and statistical assessment tools (e.g., Excel, EQuIS, Python, R).
  • •Experience with geochemical modeling software such as PHREEQC, Geochemist’s Workbench, GoldSim, MIN3P, or similar tools.
