Key Responsibilities

•Design and build the next generation of the Notifications Platform, including agentic, event-driven notification workflows.
•Develop backend systems for contextual notifications triggered by agents, workflows, and product events.
•Create reliable platform primitives for triggering, routing, delivery, retries, deduplication, rate limiting, and notification lifecycle management.
•Collaborate with teams building Agents and AI-powered experiences to translate needs into scalable platform capabilities.
•Improve developer experience with well-designed APIs, self-serve tooling, documentation, and integration workflows.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of backend engineering experience building distributed systems, platform services, or large-scale backend applications.
•Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, Go, PHP, or C++.
•Experience designing APIs, frameworks, or platform abstractions used by multiple engineering teams.
•Solid understanding of reliability, observability, operational excellence, and system failure modes.
•Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, queues, workflow engines, or orchestration platforms.
