Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light/medium/heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair major systems (electrical/brakes/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials).
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to determine malfunctions using instruments like handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain/perform safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections of the company-issued service vehicle.
  • •Document repairs on repair orders and DOT forms, upload work details/pictures, and communicate with customers/clients and management as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years’ related experience (or 5 years’ related experience with another combination).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; maintain a current valid DOT medical card as required.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older; hold a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
