Job Summary

Assist clients with residential mortgage loan origination by analyzing needs and advising on home-lending solutions. Prospect and build referral relationships to grow Key’s home lending business while meeting established sales goals. Guide borrowers through the mortgage process from application to closing, serving as primary point of contact, gathering required documents, and ensuring quality, client satisfaction, and effective use of sales/originator systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Prospect for home lending business to build and develop new client loan originations and relationships.
•Originate and process a targeted number of residential mortgage transactions following Home Lending process and product guidelines.
•Provide clients with detailed information on mortgage options, interest rates, and terms; analyze client priorities and market trends to recommend solutions.
•Gather documents at loan registration and serve as the primary point of contact through the loan process to closing.
•Maintain proficiency in sales/originator systems and ensure client satisfaction and loan quality, including branch-based in-person services 4+ days/week.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•3+ years’ experience as a loan officer in first mortgage production (preferred).
•3+ years’ working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, TIL regulations, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, RESPA regulations, and local/state real estate and finance laws (preferred).
•Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience (preferred).
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service skills.
•Proficiency in sales and service skills, including tele-consulting, prospecting, networking, and COI relationship management.
