Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide legal support to Agency Finance as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to transaction teams and internal partners.
  • •Partner with Agency Finance, Risk, and Compliance to evaluate GSE/FHA program requirements and develop policies and procedures for compliance, monitoring, and reporting.
  • •Track and manage negotiation of sub-servicing documentation for Freddie Mac securitizations and interpret sub-servicing obligations from an asset management and servicing perspective.
  • •Engage and oversee outside legal counsel effectively and efficiently.
  • •Advise on external communications with customers, regulators, partners, industry trade groups, and outside law firms; lead initiatives like negotiation guidelines and training; partner with Operations to drive process improvements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 200,700 - 229,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • •Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
  • •At least 4 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, government agency, military judge advocate, or in-house counsel.
  • •At least 2 years of legal counsel experience focusing on multifamily agency finance transactions.
  • •5+ years of experience with a focus on multifamily agency finance transactions working with Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac-related transactions.
