Job Summary

Join the Public Sector pre-sales team to design and demonstrate Akamai’s internet and security solutions for government and regulated industries. You’ll manage the technical pre-sales process, create and evaluate sales opportunities, and lead technical demos and POCs. Partner with engineering and business teams to produce accurate technical proposals, track account activity, and deliver customer-ready recommendations using Akamai’s full platform expertise.

•Create sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai technology to customers.
•Manage technical proposal processes and ensure recommendations accurately address customer requirements.
•Track account activity for business analysis and reporting, and design technical solutions to meet customer needs.
•Lead sales activities including technical demos and Proofs of Concept (POCs).

Key Requirements

•12 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
•US citizenship and the ability to obtain and retain a US government clearance.
•Experience in a customer-facing consulting, technical solutions pre-sales, or post-sales role.
•Background in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies, or cloud computing solutions.
•Comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL protocols, and Cloud Computing.
