Key Responsibilities

  • •Interpret building code, life safety, and fire code requirements, including ICC and NFPA (IBC and NFPA 101)
  • •Review architectural drawings for compliance with building and fire code requirements
  • •Design fire protection and life safety systems, including automatic fire sprinklers, fire detection and alarm, smoke management, and egress systems
  • •Perform and review fire engineering calculations, including smoke modeling and evacuation analysis, from hand calculations to 3D computational modeling
  • •Assist with commissioning, prepare technical reports/specifications, and develop project proposals and budgets
