Job Summary

Fabricate and repair metal components in a shop environment by cutting, fitting, and welding sheet metal and other alloys. Interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions for daily projects, performing repairs and plant maintenance with hand and welding tools. Conduct pre- and post-inspections of equipment and vehicles, maintain welding equipment, and uphold OSHA/MSHA safety practices using PPE while working with the shop foreman and other team members.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely cut, lay out, fit, and weld sheet metal and other metals or alloys to fabricate or repair equipment.
•Interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions for daily projects.
•Perform repairs and plant maintenance using grinders, wire brushes, cutting torches, and other welding tools.
•Fabricate parts and components using welding machines and oxy-acetylene torches.
•Conduct pre- and post-inspections and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment while following OSHA/MSHA safety regulations and using PPE.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED is required.
•Experience with TIG, MIG, and STICK welding methods.
