Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide end-to-end product counseling from ideation to end of life, advising on product and security-related customer contract changes including DPAs and BAAs.
  • •Draft and update form agreements for products and services and negotiate relevant contract terms.
  • •Partner with internal teams and external partners/vendors to understand data flows and assess privacy/data protection risk, coordinating with privacy counsel as needed.
  • •Advise on cybersecurity issues as a member of incident response teams.
  • •Collaborate with commercialization, product marketing, marketing, and communications to bring offerings to market, and contribute to process improvements for the product counseling function.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 197,800 - 272,050 annually

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of relevant legal experience at a top law firm and/or in-house, with at least 2 years focused on product, privacy, and/or IP law.
  • •State bar membership required.
  • •Deep understanding of cloud and software technology, with a strong desire to work on legal issues in these areas.
  • •Technical background (engineering or hard science) or proven ability to acquire deep product understanding.
  • •Ability to prioritize/manage time and client expectations with strong written and verbal communication skills.
