Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop rightsized project strategies and integrated project plans with timelines spanning research, discovery, clinical development, software engineering, and data science/machine learning
  • •Lead the AI-forward PPM organization and partner with Compute, Operations and Finance to establish agentic project management, decisionmaking tools and resource allocation methods
  • •Partner with Therapeutic Area, Operations, Clinical and Business Development teams to discover and advance high-value drug candidates into the clinic
  • •Coordinate governance bodies and portfolio reviews with appropriate decision tools to ensure strategic alignment and timely decisions
  • •Lead matrix team meetings, manage project scope, deliverables, risks, and resources to enable collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Key Requirements

  • •BS degree in a life science field; MS or PhD preferred
  • •Minimum of 15 years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical R&D and clinical development, including 8+ years in project/portfolio leadership
  • •Extensive knowledge of the drug development process across at least one drug modality (recombinant biologic, small molecule, oligonucleotide) with translational, CMC, early commercial, IND-to-Phase 2 experience
  • •Proficiency in conventional project management tools and software (critical path analyses, scenario planning, budget & resource management)
  • •Experience with governance/portfolio planning and reviews processes
