Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, data models, and integration layers for semiconductor equipment software. Partner with frontend, product, QA, infrastructure, and architecture teams to translate requirements into reliable production solutions. Own backend features end-to-end, troubleshoot complex issues across systems and runtime boundaries, improve quality with testing and code reviews, and support CI/CD and production readiness—while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, data models, and integration layers.
•Build backend capabilities for web application workflows including request handling, validation, persistence, error handling, and service orchestration.
•Collaborate with frontend engineers and cross-functional partners to translate requirements into backend solutions and maintain frontend/backend contracts.
•Evaluate technical alternatives, document trade-offs, and troubleshoot complex issues across application, data, integration, runtime, and environment boundaries.
•Write and improve tests (unit/integration), conduct code reviews, and support CI/CD, deployment readiness, logging, monitoring, and production support; mentor junior engineers.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
•7+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
•Strong hands-on backend development experience using Python or similar programming languages.
•Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs or backend services for production applications.
•Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, cloud platforms, observability/logging/monitoring, and scalable system design.
