Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the full civil on-site development project management lifecycle from concept and detailed design through construction and post-construction acceptance.
  • •Deliver engineering solutions for private site developments, including stormwater management, sanitary/water servicing, roadway geometry, site grading, and utility coordination.
  • •Guide multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and regulatory standards.
  • •Serve as the primary client partner for architects, builders, developers, municipalities, and agencies, building long-term relationships.
  • •Oversee approval packages and manage project financial stewardship (forecasting, budgeting, invoicing, contract administration, and agreement negotiations).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a Civil Engineering Technology diploma.
  • •10+ years of progressive onsite private development civil design and project management experience, ideally within Alberta.
  • •Deep understanding of Edmonton and surrounding communities’ onsite private development process, including municipal standards, permitting, utility servicing, and grading best practices.
  • •Registered (or eligible for registration) with APEGA or ASET in Alberta as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Professional Licensee (Engineering) (P.L.(Eng)), or Professional Technologist (P.Tech.(Eng)).
  • •PMP certification is an asset; proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and modeling/project coordination tools; valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for project travel.
