Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead frontend architecture and set technical direction for self-serve onboarding and the platform experience.
  • •Build primarily frontend (about 80%), and contribute backend work (about 20%) as needed to unblock frontend or ship features end to end.
  • •Partner with Design to take onboarding and platform experience from concept to production and refine details that impact merchant experience.
  • •Mentor and raise the bar for engineers joining the team, including onboarding frontend craft for newer engineers.
  • •Set frontend conventions and quality standards (architecture reviews, code quality, and testing approach) for an early-stage team.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong, proven frontend expertise building complex frontend applications in production, not just consuming a design system.
  • •Experience architecting and delivering frontend solutions while being comfortable as the most senior frontend voice in technical discussions.
  • •Some backend experience and willingness to work in a Python codebase; you should be comfortable touching it to unblock work.
