Job Summary

Build and operate core backend services for an AI-native “context layer” that enables agents to retrieve governed enterprise context. You’ll design ingestion, indexing, retrieval orchestration, and agent-facing APIs within a multi-tenant SaaS foundation, instrument systems with observability, and shape architecture decisions as the team evolves from prototype to production. This is a high-autonomy Staff role focused on reliable, scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, implement, test, and operate core services for context ingestion, indexing, retrieval orchestration, API access, source configuration, and system administration.
•Help define and build a scalable multi-tenant SaaS architecture, including tenant isolation, usage tracking, quotas, audit logs, and background jobs.
•Build agent-facing retrieval workflows with APIs for AI agents, MCP tools, CLIs, and internal applications to retrieve relevant context and signals.
•Partner across product and infrastructure teams to make tradeoffs between fast experimentation and long-term reliability as the system moves toward production.
•Instrument services with metrics, logs, traces, alerts, and dashboards to improve reliability and provide operational visibility.
