Key Responsibilities

  • •Liaise with engineers, project managers, CAD/BIM managers, and other team members to develop, coordinate, review, and deliver lighting and electrical design documentation.
  • •Prepare and update lighting layouts, lighting calculations, and associated drawings using AutoCAD, including detailed electrical drawings (SLDs, cable routing, earthing, equipment layouts, cable trench, and GA drawings).
  • •Develop and maintain design documentation in accordance with company, client, and industry drafting standards.
  • •Coordinate electrical and lighting drawing design with other disciplines using CAD and project data platforms.
  • •Revise drawings from sketches, markups, and engineer comments; perform drawing quality checks and support engineers with design packages and construction documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering Design Drafting, or a related discipline.
  • •Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical and/or lighting drafting using AutoCAD, including lighting layouts, cable routing, and SLDs.
  • •Experience producing lighting and/or calculations and lighting compliance documentation.
  • •Proficiency with AutoCAD electrical and lighting drawings, including understanding engineering drafting principles and document control procedures.
  • •Experience with Revit, MicroStation, Navisworks, 3D/BIM workflows, and/or Projectwise is desirable; transport or road project drafting experience is essential.
