Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare daily samples for analysis, record data, and perform routine tests and studies.
  • •Prepare reagents and standards for chemical analyses and conduct routine environmental testing.
  • •Use wet chemistry techniques including extractions, dilutions, hot plate, and pipetting; prepare and clean glassware and work areas.
  • •Perform calibration of laboratory equipment and follow standard work instructions for technical tasks.
  • •Use LIMs for sample login and data entry, maintain accurate lab data notebooks, and communicate precise results according to lab procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or degree completion within nine months of submitting interest, with verification required before starting).
  • •Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master of Science degree in Chemistry, bio-chemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent.
  • •Applied knowledge or experience with instrumentation/analyses such as ICP, GC, GC/MS, FT-IR, UVVis, spectroscopy, Karl Fischer, TGA, XRF, and calorimetry.
  • •6 months chemistry lab experience.
  • •Experience working in a power plant or industrial environment.
