Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate certification activities for individual projects from application to approval in line with DAPM and engineering procedures.
  • •Define, verify, and validate compliance documentation required for certification requirements throughout project phases.
  • •Determine affected airworthiness standards and the proposed basis of certification and means of compliance.
  • •Manage DAO operations, including maintaining the Design Approval Procedures Manual, supporting technical audits, and implementing corrective actions.
  • •Monitor continued airworthiness, attend Continuous Airworthiness Board meetings, and support nomination of Designated Engineer candidates.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar) and/or a related university education.
  • •7 years of experience in a technical, engineering, or program capacity for an aerospace manufacturer.
  • •5 years of experience in Type Certificate or Supplemental Type Certificate development, including recent work with TCCA on similar projects.
  • •Thorough working knowledge of airworthiness manuals (AWMs 527 & 529, an asset) and design engineering knowledge across rotorcraft structure and/or mechanical, electrical, systems, power plant, and/or flight test areas.
  • •Strong problem solving, ability to interpret technical reports/drawings, and leadership in communication and managing large projects in diverse work groups.
