Job Summary

Lead a program-aligned Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) capability for Mastercard’s Payments Network, owning end-to-end health, performance, and resiliency of core infrastructure. Drive observability, incident RCA, capacity forecasting, and automation to reduce MTTR/MTTD while mentoring cross-functional teams and ensuring secure, scalable platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead continuous assessments of the application infrastructure supporting Mastercard applications, focusing on health, performance, monitoring and alerting, and capacity analysis.
•Collaborate with Product and Development teams to forecast growth requirements and ensure scalability and resiliency.
•Champion observability as a core principle for infrastructure services by closing gaps in monitoring and alerting and building unified dashboards for root-cause analysis.
•Lead regular incident reviews to identify root causes and implement remediation strategies to mitigate risks.
•Leverage automation and AI technologies to enhance proactive issue detection and enable self-healing capabilities, reducing MTTR/MTTD.

Key Requirements

•5–10 years of experience in an SRE or SRE-related operations role, including 3+ years supporting ecommerce, financial services, or large-scale SaaS platforms.
•Strong hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace, with the ability to triage and investigate complex issues.
•Familiarity with network telemetry tools such as SolarWinds and NetScout.
•Proficiency in packet-level debugging using tcpdump and Wireshark for traffic analysis.
•Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Chef, Ansible, and Terraform, and with JSON/YAML data formats.
