Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide mechanical engineering leadership for the UWS project, directing the mechanical team and building mechanical capability.
  • •Support PDA/PLA with technical input on build issues, improvements, initiatives, approvals, and roadmap execution.
  • •Develop mechanical elements of the UWS project and drive future product capability.
  • •Coordinate product definition and assess trade-offs between cost, customer requirements, and technological possibilities across product and mechanical architecture.
  • •Support specialized subsea mechanical design tasks, including packaging of electronics/cabling, trials, and integration support, and lead problem resolution with industry teams.

Key Requirements

  • •L6 qualification (degree or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific discipline, or proven relevant experience.
  • •Strong experience in mechanical design roles, including using CREO & PDMLink and 3D CAD systems.
  • •Experience working to relevant standards (including DEF STAN and ISO) and understanding engineering development lifecycles.
  • •Ability to produce manufacturing and assembly drawings, including key point manufacturing drawings, and provide support to design requirements.
  • •UK National required and must achieve Security Clearance (SC) without caveats before commencing employment.
