Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and validate installation solutions through detailed structural analysis and engineering calculations.
  • •Produce comprehensive structural calculation reports demonstrating integrity, safety, and suitability of designs.
  • •Apply engineering principles, analytical methods, hand calculations and/or FEA to assess design performance.
  • •Collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and optimise design solutions.
  • •Support build and in-service activities including ship trials and surveys.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 41,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualified in Mechanical, Structural or a related Engineering discipline.
  • •Knowledge of analysis methods used for design assurance.
  • •Skills in FEA (preferably Ansys Workbench) and traditional hand calculation methods.
  • •Knowledge of warship design and ability to make appropriate engineering decisions.
  • •Good knowledge of materials used in warships (marine steel, aluminium and composites) and ability to produce structural calculation reports.
