Key Responsibilities

  • •Own industrial and employee relations governance, ensuring compliance with People FIM adherence and internal control standards across IR/ER processes.
  • •Lead union engagement, consultation, and negotiation end-to-end, including collective bargaining agreement interpretation, application, and updates.
  • •Identify, assess, and manage ER/IR risks; drive timely remediation and closure of audit findings and regulatory actions.
  • •Plan and execute consultation/negotiation for strategic change in partnership with People, Legal, Compliance, and business leadership.
  • •Manage complex ER/IR casework with strict procedural/legal timelines, track case trends, and implement preventative actions to reduce dispute and reputational risk.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant industrial and employee relations experience, including union negotiation/collective bargaining and dispute resolution in a regulated environment (financial services preferred).
  • •Experience leading complex, time-sensitive consultation processes for organisational change.
  • •Proven track record managing high-volume ER casework, including disciplinary processes with defined procedural timelines.
  • •Strong knowledge of local labour law, union frameworks, collective bargaining agreements, and grievance/disciplinary procedures.
  • •Clear written/verbal communication to craft defensible consultation and case records, with integrity and discretion handling confidential matters.
