Job Summary

Lead a Forward Deployed Engineering team aligned with Databricks’ most strategic enterprise customers, shaping how organizations migrate to the lakehouse and deploy next-generation AI and GenAI systems. Own delivery quality and regional performance targets, establish project oversight and risk/quality best practices, and escalate on high-stakes customer situations. Partner with sales and field engineering leaders to deliver data and AI professional services programs, while coaching engineers and feeding insights back to product and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead a team of Forward Deployed Engineers serving strategic enterprise customers across data migrations, legacy modernization, and AI/ML/AI agent deployments.
•Oversee regional performance targets, including billable utilization, team growth, and hiring, while championing delivery excellence and customer success.
•Partner with Account Executives, Engagement Managers, and Field Engineering leaders to position, scope, and deliver transformational professional services programs.
•Establish best practices for project oversight, risk management, and quality standards to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to specification.
•Serve as the escalation point for high-stakes customer situations, and mentor engineers through structured career pathways and technical coaching.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of people leadership experience managing technical delivery teams, solution architects, or professional services organizations.
•5+ years of hands-on experience as a technical solutions architect or data/AI engineer to coach and support senior practitioners.
•Proven success leading large-scale data platform migrations and AI/ML programs in enterprise environments across industries.
•Strong understanding of technical project delivery, including scope, timelines, statements of work (SOWs), and delivery metrics.
•Strong stakeholder management experience navigating complex, high-stakes customer environments and influencing at the C-suite level.
