Job Summary

Oversee piping-related construction activities for a fast-track oil & gas project in Southern Iraq, coordinating with site leadership and contractors to deliver safe, high-quality execution. Enforce Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) objectives by supporting job safety analysis, safety talks, and incident reporting. Plan and supervise work (including PTW, method statements, and documentation), mentor construction personnel, and support pre-commissioning/commissioning and handover activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Support and enforce project guidelines and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) objectives, including Job Safety Analysis, safety talks, and reporting anomalies, accidents, and incidents.
•Coordinate daily with the Site Superintendent and oversee contractor teams and material follow-up.
•Participate in pre-job planning, coordination, and PTW meetings; prepare site work preparation items such as procedures, job cards, method statements, rigging plan, and permits to work.
•Supervise site construction activities to meet quality and safety requirements and contribute to short-interval planning (e.g., 5 Weeks Look ahead).
•Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensure documentation reflects site conditions, manage punch list follow-up, and formalize handover dossier.

Key Requirements

•Mechanical degree in engineering, construction, or a related field.
•Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry with significant experience in construction.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
•Ability to work under SIMOPS work conditions with respect of TEEPRH reference.
•Excellent knowledge of English language (oral and written).
