Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement system-level software including VMM/hypervisors, operating systems, device drivers, and PC firmware.
  • •Develop new projects and support/improve existing virtualization components.
  • •Analyze and debug issues across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
  • •Own large functional areas such as the memory manager or networking subsystem and provide performance improvements.
  • •Provide engineering support for customer issues, including remote or on-site problem analysis and collaboration.

Key Requirements

  • •Expert understanding of modern computer architectures with a focus on x86-64 and PC platforms.
  • •Expert understanding of virtualization technologies, including hardware-assisted virtualization (VT-x and AMDV) and IO-MMU.
  • •Expert understanding of modern operating systems (Windows and Linux).
  • •5+ years developing kernel and device drivers in Linux or Windows.
  • •5+ years developing system software in C and x86 assembler, with strong debugging and analytical skills.
