Job Summary

The Engineer will design, prepare, and manage road designs and drawings using CAD and 3D modelling software for diverse local and international highway projects. You’ll oversee geometric design models, road-related structures, and 3D modelling, while adhering to AECOM’s QMS and relevant design codes, supporting infrastructure programs worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, prepare, and manage geometric designs and drawings for roads and road-related structures
•Create and manage road geometries, drawings, reports, and bills of quantities
•Develop 3D design and modelling of roads and related infrastructure
•Apply the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) to all work
•Leverage knowledge of Geometric Design Codes, Drainage Design Codes, and related standards

Key Requirements

•4+ years of experience in the design and modelling of roads and related infrastructure
•Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads
•Knowledge of SANRAL and Western Cape Provincial Governments design procedures is a plus
•Experience with Transport Authority clients in USA, Canada, and Australia is advantageous
•Proficient in common data environments Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) and Bentley ProjectWise
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
•Strong 3D design and modelling capability for roads and infrastructure
