Job Summary

Execute process simulation analysis for customer projects using LyondellBasell materials, evaluating design validity based on material properties and behavior. Write and present technical reports, manage CAE simulation needs within customer application projects, and handle CAE data support requests. Contribute to simulation methodology and data management development, including analysis of big data into a CAE-proprietary database. Support injection moulding data updates and assist with CAE tool selection and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute process simulation analysis on customer projects with LyondellBasell materials and assess design validity.
•Write technical reports and discuss results with customers in meetings (in presence or via web).
•Take over and ensure required process simulations for customer application projects in line with team standards and communication procedures.
•Handle and resolve customer CAE data support requests.
•Support simulation methodology/data management development and contribute to injection moulding data organization and updates.

Key Requirements

•University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or an equivalent field.
•Experience in process simulation roles.
•Fluent use of MS-Windows and MS-Office tools, especially Excel.
•Basic knowledge of polymers’ rheological and mechanical behavior (viscoelasticity/viscoplasticity) and continuum mechanics as an asset.
•Trainings/coding experience with simulation codes such as Moldflow, Moldex3D, Ansa, or similar (plus).
