Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment using test instruments (e.g., handheld computers and pressure gauges), and road test vehicles to diagnose issues.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and all other required documentation, maintain service vehicle safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination including 5+ years in a related field).
  • •Ability to supply required hand tools to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Able to complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license with ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
