Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the first point of contact for Ironclad’s People Team to resolve complex employment issues aligned with company goals and values.
  • •In partnership with the People Team, establish enterprise policies and scalable processes across the employment lifecycle (recruitment, compensation, reorganizations, leave management, policy governance, and employee privacy).
  • •Advise senior leaders on employment law trends, workplace investigations, and complex personnel matters; collaborate on strategic solutions aligned with business objectives and legal requirements.
  • •Develop and deliver training programs for managers and People Team members on employment law best practices.
  • •Serve as first-line internal resource for litigation and pre-litigation matters, including triaging demands, coordinating litigation holds with IT and Legal, and managing outside counsel relationships.

Key Requirements

  • •JD from an accredited law school and admission to the CA Bar.
  • •8+ years of legal experience, with at least 3+ years in-house in tech.
  • •Proven experience handling employment law matters, including employee relations, leave administration, pay equity, investigations, performance management, and policy development.
  • •Experience managing or supporting employment-related litigation, pre-litigation disputes, and government inquiries (e.g., demand letters, subpoenas, litigation holds).
  • •Strong judgment and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while working cross-functionally.
